Dorothy H Gahl

Dorothy Helen Gahl (nee Mantsch) of New Berlin, WI. Entered into Eternal Life on Friday, July 13, 2012 at age 90. Preceded in death by husband Allen Gahl; parents; brothers Richard, Roman and Donald; and sisters Mary Jarosch and Ann Kolbus. Beloved mother to Dr. Frederick (Mary) Gahl, Dr. William (Mary) Gahl, Dr. Robert (Kathryn) Gahl) and Suzanne (John) Zomchek. Loving grandma to 18 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Dorothy was an excellent flute player, winning several soloist awards. She was valedictorian at Girl's Trade and Technical High School in Milwaukee and salutatorian at UW-Whitewater majoring in Commercial Education. She loved teaching at Mayville and Rufus King high schools and was instrumental in the building of the family home. Dorothy was known for her culinary skills, gardening and furniture refinishing.

Visitation Wednesday July 25 from 10 AM to 11:30 AM at the Funeral Home. Funeral Service at 11:30 AM. Private interment at Wood National Cemetery. Memorials to Marquette University High School and Marquette University appreciated.
