Gabriel King Viejo Morales

Gabriel Morales of La Puente, California, age 59 died unexpectedly on Friday, December 25, 2020 at San Dimas Community Hospital in San Dimas, CA. He was born on July 31, 1961 in El Paso, Texas. The son of Roberto Ramirez Morales and Connie Sanchez Morales.

Gabriel served in the US Army at Fort Bragg, N. Carolina from 1979 - 1982. He was a proud 82nd Airborne Paratrooper specializing in Tactical Wire Operation Specialist. He received a number of awards such as Sharpshooter M-16, Paratrooper Wings, Good Conduct and Humanitarian Metal. He served his country during the US Invasion of Panama. Upon his return, he fell madly in love with his wife Bertha Corral Morales who passed on July 10, 2007 leaving him to raise his 3 children alone. During their marriage, they conceived 3 beautiful children. Laura Evelyn Morales Jimenez, Gabriel Roberto Tomas Morales Jr. and Jessica Patricia Morales Cruz. He was known for his huge heart and was a proud grandfather of three amazing grandchildren. Miranda Elise Morales, Melina Jimenez and Jimmy Jr Jimenez. His grandkids were the JOY of his life.

Gabriel continued his profession in the field of Fire and Alarm Industry over 45 years. His work buddies made regular comments of the amazing Service Technician he was during his tenure. It was not uncommon for businesses to request him specifically. He always shared his knowledge to anyone that would ask. One of the fondest memories is dedicating his time with his eldest granddaughter Miranda. He would instruct her on the safety measures of handling grandpa's tools. She holds a wealth of knowledge and amazing memories and continues to build things around the home. Another amazing story that Gabriel would often share is the love of Melina and Jimmy Jr. They loved money and when Grandpa always made sure to have enough coins giggling as he walked inside. Their eyes would open wide and the teasing of money would begin. The laughter and JOY in his eyes were a sight to see when he would share his memories of his family.

Gabriel is predeceased by his father Roberto Ramirez Morales. Surviving family members consists of his beloved Mother Connie Morales and four sisters, Leticia Morales Corral, Patricia Morales, Norma Morales Corona and Yvette Morales Hunt. Gabriel leave behind nieces and nephews and held a very close bond with them all.
