Juan Garcia Jr., a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on February 13, 2025, at the remarkable age of 96. A man of resilience, dedication, and warmth, Juan lived a life full of love, service, and creativity.
Born on March 13, 1928, Juan proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Army. After his military service, he built a career as a steamfitter with the Los Angeles Unified School District, where he worked tirelessly until his well-earned retirement.
Above all, Juan cherished his family. He was married to the love of his life, Teresa Garcia, for 63 beautiful years until her passing. Together, they raised four wonderful children: Rachel Hennen, Juan Carlos Garcia, Rosemary Towner, and Sammy Garcia. His legacy continued through his six grandchildren—Ross Hennen, Jacob Hennen, Geoffrey Towner, Sara Arispe, Alicia Garcia, and Tomas Garcia—as well as his eight great-grandchildren—Nathan Hennen, Mathew Hennen, Gabriella Arispe, Michael Arispe, Brandon Arispe, Abigail Arispe, Milo Towner, and Francis Towner.
A proud Texan, Juan was a man of many talents and passions. He found joy in writing poetry, cooking, crafting and building things with his hands, and dancing with his beloved Teresa. He took great pride in providing for and spending time with his family, always ensuring they felt loved and supported. His kind strong spirit, wisdom, and devotion to his loved ones and friends will be deeply missed but forever remembered.
Rest in peace, Juan. Your love, laughter, and legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew you.
