On August 30, 2024, the world lost a vibrant soul, and the Bribiesca family lost its heartbeat, as Nellie Bribiesca passed away peacefully at her home in Baldwin Park, California. A radiant spirit who came into the world on January 24, 1943, in Holcomb, Kansas, Nellie was the cherished daughter of Juan and Jessie Perez and a beloved sister to her nine siblings.

Nellie’s indomitable spirit shone brightly in her lifelong love for her family. She was married to Raymond M. Bribiesca, and together they built a legacy filled with love, laughter, and tenacious family ties that will endure through generations. Nellie was the proud mother of seven children, who carry forth her humor and kindness, and adored grandmother to thirteen grandchildren and great-grandmother to nineteen great-grandchildren.

Her family was her greatest joy, and she found endless delight in watching her grandchildren play in the yard, laughter ringing through the air as they enjoyed each other's company. Nellie’s home was always open, and she filled it with delicious meals prepared with love—meals that incorporated secret recipes that she would never share. Each bite not only nourished the body but also wrapped her loved ones in the warmth and comfort of her undeniable affection.

Known for her quick wit and infectious laughter, Nellie was not only a homemaker but also the family's heart. She had a unique ability to turn the mundane into something extraordinary with her humor and charm. Every gathering and meal shared was highlighted by her vibrant spirit, drawing family and friends closer together.
