Barb McKee, 79, passed away Monday, March 18, 2013 at Mercy Hospice in Johnston. Memorial services will be held 1 p.m. Friday at McLaren’s Chapel with burial at Resthaven Cemetery in West Des Moines.
Barb was born in Iowa Falls, Iowa the daughter of Margaret Ann (Stanfield) and Alfred Jackson. She was a corporate secretary at Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Iowa for many years.
She is survived by three daughters, Terry (Kelly) McConnell of West Des Moines, Merilee (Ray) Bennett of New Mexico, and Jean (George) Crookes of Indianola; son, Brian (Ginger) McKee of Savoy, Illinois; nine grandchildren, Stacy (Frank) Greenwell, Kelly (Eric) Johnson, Jesse (Michelle) Robbins, Beau (Allison) Crookes, Tabitha (Josh) Collins, Nate (Chelsea) Templeton, Nick Templeton, Logan McKee, and Morgan McKee; ten great-grandchildren; four brothers, Dick (Nadine) Jackson, Kenny (Sharon) Jackson, Wes (Shirley) Jackson and Al Jackson, Jr.; sister, Louise Hogen; and family friend, Karin Hooper. Barb was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Eugene Jackson, Howard Jackson and Don Jackson; sister, Arlene Jackson; grandson, Caleb Robbins; and great-grandson, Granger.
