Betty Momberg, 73, passed away Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at Mercy Medical Center. Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Lutheran Church of Hope with entombment at Resthaven Mausoleum.
Betty was born in Des Moines, IA the daughter of Donald and Frances (Severson) Lowe. She graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1958. Betty was a homemaker and a member of Lutheran Church of Hope, PEO Chapter LL, Eastern Star and the Red Hat Society. She loved to paint, read, watch movies and travel.
She is survived by her husband, Darrel Momberg; son, Joe (Rochelle) Pentico of Des Moines; five step-children, Richard Momberg of Washington state, Jeffrey Momberg of California, Diane (Garry) Momberg Odom of Des Moines, David Momberg of Des Moines and Shelly Momberg (Scott Holmes) of Washington state; and six grandchildren, Zachary, Andrea and Aliza Pentico, Megan (Kyle) Carman, and Lang and Gabriel Odom. Betty was preceded in death by her first husband, Mervin Pentico and her brother, Jim Lowe.
Memorial contributions may be given to Luther Park or the American Heart Association.
