Beverly Ann Donaldson Kellogg, 74, passed away on March 24, 2015 at home of natural causes. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at McLaren’s Chapel. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at McLaren’s Chapel with burial at Resthaven Cemetery. A Celebration of Life reception will be held at Limey’s Pub following the burial.
Bev was born on December 6, 1940 in Hampton, IA to Robert and Wilma (Claypool) Donaldson. She attended Hampton High School and AIB in Des Moines. Bev married Larry Kellogg on December 26, 1959 in Tama. She is survived by a huge family of friends, as she was an integral part of the success of Limey’s Pub for twenty years. Prior to that Bev was in management with Brandeis/Younkers. Her most memorable and enjoyable times were spent going to Yankee and Hawkeye games. She enjoyed traveling, gardening and decorating.
Bev was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. She was preceded in death by her husband Larry. Bev is survived by her daughter, Kim (Ken) Taylor of West Des Moines; son, Tim Kellogg of West Des Moines; brother, Steve (Thelma) Donaldson of Hampton; three grandchildren, Katie (Larry) Mihalovich, Kelsey Kellogg and Megan Kellogg and two great-grandchildren, Harlow and Harper Harrison.
