Carol A. Lowe, 69, passed away on Monday, December 26, 2011 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 31st at the Covenant Presbyterian Church in West Des Moines with burial at Resthaven Cemetery. Visitation will be at McLaren’s Funeral Chapel from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, December 30th.

Carol was born and grew up in Fort Dodge. She worked in the billing/accounting department for various businesses throughout the state during her career, most recently at West Grand Medical Associates in West Des Moines. Her greatest passion in life was being a wife, mother, and grandmother.

She is survived by her husband Lawrence; brothers, Ron (Jan) Johnson of Waukee and Mark (Elaine) Johnson of Atlanta, GA; sons, Jeff (Diane) Twait of DeWitt, MI and Barry (Christy) Twait of Hudson, IA ; step-children, Diana (Scott) Hatfield, Larry (Nancy) Lowe, Scott Lowe, and David Lowe, all of West Des Moines; eight grandchildren, Derek, Stephanie, Jackson, Jenna, Shani, Nathan, Brandon and Keely; several great-grandchildren; and nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Norman and Francis Johnson and her first husband, Dale Twait.
