Char lived in the West Des Moines area for most of her life and felt blessed to have been able
to raise her sons among friends and family in such a nice place in the world.
Char was an avid reader and loved art in it's many forms. Fortunately, for her two sons, she was
able to pass these gifts on to them. She enjoyed being a stay-at-home mother but also loved working
at Suite Dreams and the West Des Moines United Methodist Preschool where she both assisted and
taught. She always looked forward to hosting holiday gatherings for family.
She most enjoyed being with her friends, which included those that she had known since the
early child raising days in the old neighborhood, to the preschool teachers and the more
recent friends she had met at the "Y". Char loved the coffees, lunches and dinners.
Char leaves behind her husband Ron, her two sons, Chris and Joe, and her brother Gregg (Shirley).
She will also miss all her in-law sisters, brothers and nieces and their families.
Char wanted to thank all her doctors, nurses and those who made her final days more comfortable.
