Charles E. (Charlie) Stanton, 79, of Maxwell, Iowa passed away on Friday, June 8, 2012 at Mercy Hospice in Johnston. Graveside Services (casual attire) will be held 1:00 pm Monday, June 11, 2012 at Resthaven Cemetery in West Des Moines, Iowa.
Charlie was born on October 27, 1932 at Nodaway, Iowa, the son of George and Glennola (Cronwall) Stanton. He graduated from Roosevelt High School and married Patricia Warner on April 1, 1960. Charlie worked for Baker Mechanical for 30 years retiring in 1992. He was a member of Local Plumbers Union 33.
Charlie is survived by his wife, Patricia of Maxwell; son, Chuck (Karen) Stanton of Maxwell; daughters, Patty (Fred) Thompson of Valley Junction, Cindy Wallace and Terri (Chris) Wszolek, both of Virginia Beach, VA; eight grandchildren; ten great- grandchildren; two sisters, Darlene King of Ankeny and Pauline Bennett of Norwalk; and Max his beloved wiener dog. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother George Jr. and great grandson, Rylie G.
