David Thrasher, 82, passed away on Friday, April 10, 2015 at Knoxville Rehabilitation Center. Visitation will be from 11 to 1 p.m. Friday, April 17, 2015 at Highland Park Nazarene Church in Des Moines with a funeral service at 1 p.m. Burial will take place at Resthaven Cemetery in West Des Moines.
David was born July 25, 1932 in Lucas County, IA to Alvin and Elsie (Heston) Thrasher. He was an orderly at Iowa Methodist Medical Center and also worked at the Highland Park Nursing Home. David was a charter member of Highland Park Nazarene Church.
David is survived by several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Zeta Thrasher; three brothers, Virgil Thrasher, Frank Thrasher and William Thrasher; three sisters, Corda Anderson, Gladys Thrasher and Amy Lucille Anderson-Kelderman.
