Donald F. Hyatt, 69, passed away September 6, 2014 in Des Moines. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at McLaren’s Chapel in West Des Moines with burial at Resthaven Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Don was born February 20, 1945 to Frank and Evelyn (Conners) Hyatt in St. Paul, MN. He served in the U.S. Army from 1966 to 1969 and graduated from St. Paul Evening High School in 1967. Don married JoAnn Sherwood on November 23, 1973 in Nebraska. He worked for the West Des Moines Schools for over twenty years.
Don is survived by his wife, JoAnn; children, Joann Hyatt, Renee Jordan, Donald Hyatt, Sonja Scigliano, John Scigliano, Shelley Hyatt of Des Moines; and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Gerald Hyatt.
