Eugene Walter Baker was born in Detroit, MI on August 28, 1947 to Eugene and Victoria (McNeil) Baker. He passed away November 14, 2017 peacefully alongside his family. A memorial Services will be held on November 26, 2017 at 3 p.m. at the Progressive Baptist Church in Davenport, IA.
Eugene was a wonderful man who would give anyone his last dollar. He cherished his children and grandchildren greatly. Eugene enjoyed playing cards and going to the casino with his friends. He was passionate about sports, especially the Chicago Cubs, and was an excellent athlete himself excelling in track, football, and baseball.
Eugene will be remembered and deeply missed by his children, Lynsi Baker, Jason Baker, Harold (Samantha) Clay, Yvette Clay, Angela Hansen, Briana Brown, Mia Moon and Alexia Knight. His nieces, Victoria Vann and Lynette Calloway; and many grandchildren and other loved ones. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Joy Calloway and daughter, Erin Baker.
