Frankie Samuel Farao III- Dudley, 20, was set free into the loving embrace of God on October 11, 2016. Visitation will be from 12 noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday, October 18, 2016, at McLaren’s Chapel in West Des Moines with a memorial service at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Glendale Cemetery.
Frankie was our sweet, smart, and handsome boy who was so many things to all of us. He was such a kind, gentle, caring, and giving soul. Frankie would give whatever he had to anyone he knew, or didn’t know. He was the most generous person we knew. Frankie would help anyone he could because he never wanted anyone to hurt the way he did. He struggled so long with his depression, he just couldn’t fight the fight anymore.
Frankie grew up in Des Moines, Iowa and attended Hillis Elementary School, Merrill Middle School, and then Roosevelt High School. He had recently received his G.E.D., which he was especially proud of because of his almost perfect scores.
Frankie absolutely loved all animals and his dream was to study them abroad. As a little boy he was always bringing home small creatures. Frankie loved to hang out in the woods with his friends so he could be close to nature. He loved to read, and read many books. Frankie loved fishing with his friends and just hanging out.
Frankie will be missed every second of every day by his parents, Nicole McDuffey (Tip McDuffey) and Jeremy Dudley (Whitney Vogel); sisters, Sebrina Farao-Dudley and Cecelia Dudley; grandparents; aunts; uncles; cousins; and his first and only love, McKayla Frisch. He will also be missed by his dogs, Scout, Lucky, and his favorite, Lola.
Frankie has left a huge hole in our hearts that will never be filled. Our sweet son went way before his time. He hurt every day, and we prayed for him for so long that he would not have to struggle, suffer, and that he would be safe. Our prayers were answered, not in a way for which we prayed, but through God calling him home. He is safe now in the arms of our creator without pain, anxiety, fear or depression. He will always be with us. Our peace now is that we know he is wrapped in God’s loving arms where he will suffer no more.
