Marilyn was born March 12, 1933, to Clarence and Alice Zika. She was a 1952 graduate from Winterset High School. On February 10, 1953, Marilyn Zika married Donald Little and they made their home in Winterset where they would spend the next 71 years together. Marilyn and Donald had 5 children: Tom (Amy) of Sergeant Bluff, IA, Lynette (Robert) Wilson of Plattsmouth, NE, Pam (Steve) May of Winterset, IA, Don (Teresa) of Des Moines, IA, and Loretta (Jeff) Bryant of Lenexa, KS. Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband, Donald (Corney); her parents; brothers, Richard, James, Robert, Malvin, Leroy and Dewayne; sisters, Darlene Grant, Charlotte Pieart, Eva Songer; and great granddaughter, Sydney Carpenter. Left to celebrate Marilyn are her five children and spouses, thirteen grandchildren, and twelve great grandchildren, brother Gene Zika and sister Norma Parkins.
Marilyn took great pride in her children and grandchildren and looked forward to those visits. Her passion for quilting gifted many family and friends with special quilts. Marilyn enjoyed watching sports of all kinds, trips to the casino, and for many years dirt track racing.
The family expresses thank you and gratitude to the Madison County Hospital, Adair County Hospital, and Greenfield Rehabilitation Center for great compassion and medical care.
