Marian E. Toulouse, 85, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 19, 2011 at the Iowa Jewish Senior Life Center in Des Moines. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at New Hope Assembly of God Church in Urbandale followed by funeral services at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be at Glendale Cemetery in Des Moines.
Marian was born December 23, 1925 in Patten Chapel, Alabama to Ottison and Agnes Moore. She was an Executive Secretary for Pioneer Hi-Bred and a member of New Hope Assembly of God Church. Marian had a strong faith and belief in Jesus Christ. She enjoyed genealogy, shopping, cooking, reading, yard work, eating chocolate, spending time with her family and she had a great sense of humor. All of these things are her legacy and left for the family to treasure and continue.
Marian is survived by her two daughters, Mel Laake of Clive and Bambi (Val) Wagner of Grimes; son, Todd (Kelly) Toulouse of Johnston; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one brother and one sister. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Toulouse; grandson, Ben Dyer and three sisters.
