Nick Fazio, 65, passed away August 9, 2015 at his home surrounded by family. Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Friday, August 14 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Des Moines. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday at St. Anthony’s with a rosary service at 6:30 p.m.
Nick was born March 25, 1950 to Nick Louis and Ann Charlotte (Kauzlarich) Fazio in Des Moines. He worked at John Deere for 30 years retiring as an Industrial Relations Administrator. He also attended St. Anthony’s Catholic Church. Nick enjoyed golfing and spending time with his friends and most importantly his family.
Nick is survived by his wife, Pat of Altoona; daughter, Jennifer (Jose) Fazio-Medina of San Antonio, TX; son, Nick of South Haven, MI; four grandchildren, Michael, Joey, and Isabella Medina, and Gianna Fazio; two sisters, Kaye (Matt) Coenen of Indianola and Fran Wiltgen of Fort Myers, FL; sister-in-law, Joni Jones of Urbandale; and seven nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Dick Wiltgen.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to St. Anthony’s, the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network or the John Stoddard Compassion Fund.
