Bob was born on June 17, 1929, to Howard and Emmogene Harper in Beebeetown, Iowa, he spent his early childhood growing up on a small farm in Harrison County. Bob attended Lincoln High School in Des Moines and he proudly served his country in the USMC from 1946-1951.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Jane; daughter, Monica Post; son, Greg Helms; daughter-in-law, Nola Harper; 4 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his son, Tom Harper.
