Roger was born on December 15, 1953 in Des Moines to Rolland L. and Laura G. (Scholten) Rasmussen. He was the owner of Capital Land Development and had worked in Commercial Property Management his entire career.
Everyone who knew Roger always said that he was one-of-a-kind and had an uncanny ability to end every conversation with “gotta run”. He was very generous, genuine, and always willing to help others in need. Most importantly, he had a gentle loving heart and sense of humor that was infectious.
Roger will be greatly missed by his children Ryan (Cassie) Rasmussen, Anne Rasmussen, and Emily Rasmussen; former wife Deb Rasmussen; grandchildren Reiland, Cale, Ali Rasmussen, Elena Rosenberg, and Lucas Rasmussen.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to EveryStep Hospice or the Animal Rescue League of Iowa.
