To the family,
I graduated from the National Education Center in 1994 and Sandy was the best instructor I had.  I am  grateful that I work at Medical Oncology and have been able to be a part of taking care of her in the lab.  I hope she knew that I retained everything she taught me.  Not just an awesome nurse and instructor, but an awesome friend too.  My thoughts and prayers are with you all.  She is dearly missed.

Grandma, you will never know just how much we are missing you right now.  I still keep hoping that if I call your phone you will answer.  You have always been there for me and the last couple of months you have no idea how much our talks and you comforting me have meant to me and helped.  I couldn't bear to keep our brunch date on Sunday and I hope you understand.  I am going to miss you stopping by after you picked up your prescriptions just to say hi and staying the night to watch the kids.  I am going to miss everything and it is going to be hard.  I know you were in constant pain and I am happy that you finally can be pain free.  But you already know, we had several conversations about it, I was selfish with you and would rather have you here with us.  You leaving without me being able to tell you good-bye has broken my heart.  I love you so very much and that will never stop.  I will treasure all of the memories that we have made together.
