Verena M. Webb, 91, passed away August 17, 2013. Verena was born in Mount Ayr, IA on November 22, 1921. She married Donald E. Webb of New Market, IA on August 18, 1939 and they moved to Des Moines in 1945. She retired from Armstrong Rubber Co. in 1983 and was an active member of Westover Baptist Church.
Verena is survived by her six children, Yvonne Murken of Des Moines, Lucille (Tom) Underwood of Colorado, Linda (Butch) Lemley of Carlisle, IA, Sondra Craft of Texas, Ronald (Julie) Webb of Tennessee, and Randi McCloughlin of Norwalk, IA; 16 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren, and eight great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald; two sisters; and four brothers.
Friends may call from 12 to 2 p.m. Wednesday, August 21 with services at 2 p.m. at McLaren’s Chapel in West Des Moines. Burial will follow at Resthaven Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Westover Baptist Church.
