The following was shared by Cindy:
For those that may have missed the viewing, I had a few words for my mother.
My mother has a playful spirit, she can be a little mischievous, but always playful. She
enjoyed finding ways to get a laugh, give a laugh or have a laugh.
She was a force to be reckoned with at any card table.
It could be bridge, cribbage or hearts. It made no difference. She would use any mean
necessary to win. At times we would join forces to overthrow the Queen, however, more
often than not our efforts ended in dismal failure.
She loved every minute of it.
My mother was blessed throughout her life with a devoted, loving husband, 4 children, 8
grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She was fortunate to have her sister Carol live
close by on the Cape. They spoke several times a day and I am sure covered all topics.
She had a knack for attracting positive playful people in her life. As I sat down t write this I
realize the list is very long, many have already passed and I am sure were awaiting her
arrival and many are among us now. I hope that in the days to come and weeks to come
we can share our Jeanie stories.
I loved her strength and competitiveness.
I loved that she had so many dear friends
I know she cared deeply for us all and will make her presence known.
Looking back now, I know I was blessed to be with her at home, in Dad's house.
While I was grunting through the challenge, I was reminded daily and often that the people
entering the house were angels on earth. Every single person operated from a place of
love and kindness. Hospice afforded my mother the opportunity to be home and that’s
what she and I had always planned.- to be home.
Here 4 children and 2 nieces were present. I was right by her side, enjoying a good laugh
when she decided to begin her journey.
I know she will be missed but also know she is free now.
Sincerely yours,
Urna Semper
