
John F. Little, 87, of Harwich, passed away on September 12, 2010 at Pleasant Bay Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Brewster. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Lillian, and 2 daughters, Nancy O’Keefe of Plymouth, and Amy Clementi of Mt. Laurel, NJ. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 3 great-granddaughters. John graduated from Montclair University and New York University. He served aboard the aircraft carrier USS Bonhomme Richard during World War II. Before his retirement to Cape Cod, John was employed by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey as a manager of Training and Personnel Development. He was a member of the American Society of Training and Development, the Society of Mayflower Descendents and several model railroad clubs. In addition to his interest in model railroads, he was interested in photography and he liked to travel.
A brief prayer service will be held Thursday, September 16th at 11:30AM with a visitation prior at 10AM in the Doane, Beal & Ames Funeral Home, 260 Main Street (Route 28), West Harwich. Interment service will follow at 1:30PM in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
