Jonathan D Jones

Born on September 15, 1963 in Portland, ME, he was the son of the late Royal A. Jones, Jr. and Pauline (Gray) Jones.

In 1986, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Maine at Orono. His work experience includes Sandwich Cooperative Bank, Cape Cod Child Development and the Town of Barnstable.

Jonathan was an avid Scrabble and poker player. He was also a fan of the Boston Bruins, the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. Thanksgiving was his favorite holiday because it brought his whole family together. More than anything, he cherished the time that he shared with them.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister Karen Horton.

He is survived by his brother, Royal A. Jones III and his wife, Judy of Bourne; his three sisters, Linda C. Rust and her companion, Russell Stepney of Harwich, Cynthia M. Jones of West Townsend, MA, Paula Ainsworth and her husband, James of Centerville; his nieces and nephews, Jennifer Rust, Matthew Rust and his companion, Allison Faucher, Lori Hall and her companion, Allan Shaw, Brian Jones and his wife Julie, Melanie Horton, Tony Horton, Samuel Jones; as well as several great nieces and nephews.

Friends may call from 10-11 am on Saturday, September, 20, 2014 at Doane, Beal & Ames Funeral Home, 260 Main Street in West Harwich. A Memorial Service will follow at 11 am at the funeral home with burial to follow in Island Pond Cemetery in Harwich.
