Marguerite S. Meads

Marguerite Shirley Meads, 77, formerly of Provincetown, died peacefully in her sleep on October 5, 2012, at her home in Harwich. Born September 1, 1935 at Hyannis, she is predeceased by her parents, Jesse and Mary Meads of Provincetown, her brother Richard, and her sister Lorraine. Visitation will be held at 5 to 8 PM, Wednesday, October 10th at Doane Beal & Ames funeral home, 260 Main Street, Harwich, MA. The funeral service will be held at 10AM, Thursday, October 11th at Harwich United Methodist Church. Reverend Yoo Cha Yi will be officiating. Following the funeral, burial will be at Saint Peter’s Cemetery in Provincetown at approximately 1PM. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Doane Beal & Ames funeral home. Marguerite graduated from Provincetown High School and continued on as a homemaker and worked in retail sales, eventually retiring from Bradlees Department Store. Her passions were her family, cooking, traveling, reading, and helping anyone in need. Marguerite was most joyous about her faith in Christ and her church families at Saint Peter the Apostle Church in Provincetown, and then at Harwich United Methodist Church. Marguerite is survived by her daughter Susan of Falmouth, son Michael of Prescott, AZ, and son John of Hereford, AZ. She will also be dearly missed by her granddaughters Jesseca, Rebecca, Bethany, Adrienne, and Audrey, her great granddaughter TJ, and many other family and friends.
