Nathan Henry Smith Jr, 85, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 18, 2022 surrounded by his family. Born on May 5, 1936, he was the son of Nathan Henry Smith Sr. and Edna Smith (Bassett) both of West Harwich.

He was a true native Cape Codder and attended the Harwich school system and graduated Harwich High School, class of 1954. In 1955, he enlisted in the Army and was stationed at Fort Dix and fought during the Korean War.

He was a hard worker and was always helping others. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He loved motorcycles, ping-pong, and volleyball. He was a member of a bowling league and enjoyed dune buggy classic racing.

He leaves behind his three daughters: Tina, Natalie and Jeanie, his “sons”: Justin and Gabriel as well as his grandchildren and great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

He will be laid to rest on Saturday May 7, 2022 at 1 pm at Pine Grove Cemetery in West Harwich. Anyone with a motorcycle is welcome to join the motorcycle procession to bring his ashes to his final resting place meeting at old exit 6 Burger King parking lot (exit 68) at 11:30Am. Kickstands up at 12:00pm.

He loved life and lived life to its fullest. He will be greatly missed by all.
