

William Oliver Wilson, Jr., 72, of Harwich, MA, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 17, at Cape Cod Hospital. He is survived by his son Jeffrey and his wife Dr. Karla Boyd, of Bronx, NY; daughter Ashleigh, of Harwich; daughter Stephanie and her partner Kyle Turner of Leominster, MA; daughter Jillian, of New Bedford, MA; former wife and caregiver Jalyn Wilson, of Harwich; granddaughters Alexis and Brooklyn; and siblings James, Richard, Dorotha, Catherine, Katie, and Walter. Oliver is preceded in death by his parents William and Christine Wilson and his sister Barbara.
Oliver was born in Knoxville, TN, on October 21, 1943. He graduated from Fulton High School in Knoxville and served in the United States Air Force from 1961 to 1965. Oliver earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Tennessee and worked in real estate and business. He resided with his family in Grafton, MA, until moving to Cape Cod in 2012. He enjoyed participating in the Grafton Bowling League, Sunday Men's Softball League, Boy Scout Troop 112, and many years of watching his daughters' and granddaughter's soccer teams. He was a lifetime fan of the University of Tennessee Volunteers football and women's basketball teams.
A private memorial service was held at Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, MA. In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made in memory of William Oliver Wilson, Jr., to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, P.O. Box 84968, Boston, MA 02284 or via www.dana-farber.org/gift.
