Yolanda Durling (Silvestrino)

Our beautiful mother was born in Brockton, MA, where her parents, Angelo and Vincenza Silvestrino, emigrated with many siblings from Canosa di Puglia, Italy. They opened a leather factory in Brockton, which supported the family for many years. Yolanda learned the love of singing at an early age and was an active member of the glee club at Brockton High School. There she met her husband Kenneth Durling in her senior year.

Kenny and Yolanda were happily married for 49 years, and had three daughters, Katheleen, Doreen and Lisa. They lived many years in Brockton before moving to Cape Cod, where they spent the remainder of their years together.

Yolanda was always an adventurous soul, who had a varied career which included running her own package store, selling real estate and driving school buses. But her true joy was found spending time at the ocean, swimming, sailing and fishing. The highlight of her life, however was spending time with her beloved grandchildren, Samir ElKamouny and Victoria and Olivia Studley.

Loving and caring mother to Katheleen ElKamouny, Doreen Studley (Michael), and Lisa Durling. Proud grandmother to Victoria Studley (Ted Hackney), Olivia Studley and Samir ElKamouny (Alina). She also had the delight of becoming a great grandmother to Archie Hackney in February 2026.

She was predeceased by her loving husband Kenneth Durling (1997).

She leaves behind her many precious nieces and nephews and dear friends on Glendon Road and beyond.

Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours at Doane, Beal & Ames, 260 Main St (Route 28), West Harwich, MA on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM. A Funeral Mass will follow and be celebrated at Holy Trinity Church, 246 Main St (Route 28), West Harwich. Burial will take place at Massachusetts National Cemetery, Connery Ave., in Bourne where Yolanda will be laid to rest aside her beloved husband Kenny.

In lieu of flowers and to honor Yolanda's love of animals, donations to Animal Rescue League of Boston - Brewster location or Wild Care Cape Cod are welcomed. When donating to Animal Rescue League select "In Memory of" and enter honoree Yolanda Durling. When donating to Wild Care Cape Cod add a note in memory of Yolanda Durling.
