Barbara Ann Sorrentino-Iannuzzi

Sorrentino-Iannuzzi, Barbara Ann, 71, of West Islip (formerly of Valley Stream) on February 22, 2013 passed peacefully surrounded by family after a valiant fight with cancer. Beloved wife and companion of 25 years of Joseph Iannuzzi. Barbara was the widow of NYPD Officer Robert Sorrentino killed in the line of duty in 1980. Loving mother of Eileen Stolz, Richard Mahnken (Amy), Tamara Nigro (Jeff), Joseph Iannuzzi Jr., and Christina Barone. Dear sister of James (Diane) and Michael Fowler (Elaine) and sister in law of Delia. Cherished grandmother of Nicolette, Austin, Robby, Sophia, Nicholas, Ashley Rose and Breiann. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Sunday 2-4:30 & 7-9:30 PM at Boyd-Spencer Funeral Homes 255 Higbie Ln. W.Islip, NY. Funeral Mass Monday 10 AM at Our Lady of Lourdes RC Church in W. Islip. Interment Pinelawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers please make memorial contributions to American Cancer Society.
