Alice Tice Brausch

Alice Tice Young Brausch age 89 passed away July 28, 2013. She was preceded in death by her parents, Blanche F. Tice and Arthur Charles Tice, hers sister, Jean Tice Stone and Helen Tice McLaren and brother-in-law William Stone. Born in Honea Path, South Carolina and moved to West Palm Beach in 1945. Graduated from Nursing Training in Spartanburg, S.C., member of the U.S. Cadet Nurse Corp., and worked for the Good Samaritan Hospital and Private Duty in Palm Beach. She served in the US Army Nursing Corp. and the US Air Force Nursing Corp. before and after the Korean War then the Civil Service. She retired from Pratt & Whitney Aircraft after 23 years as an Occupation Health Nurse and Nursing Director. She was also member of First Baptist Church, West Palm Beach and Florida Gardens Baptist Church, Lake Worth. She is survived and loved by her daughter, Dawn Young and son-in-law, Kenneth Hreschak of Durham, NC, sister, Janice Tice Wing and brother-in-law, Stafford Wing of Chapel Hill, N.C., seven nieces and two nephews, seven great nieces and two great nephews. Family and friends will gather and pay respects on Wednesday, July 31, 2013 from 5 PM - 7 PM at Mizell-Faville-Zern Fuenral Home & Cremation Services, 6411 Parker Avenue, West Palm Beach, FL 33405, (561) 833-4061. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11 AM, Thursday, August 1, 2013 at Mizell-Faville-Zern Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Travis Laney officiating. The United States Army will present Military Honors at the South Florida VA National Cemetery, 6501 South State Road 7, Lake Worth, FL 33449.
