A retired Palm Beach County School Board Administrator and former West Palm Beach County Housing Authority Commissioner, peacefully transitioned with family by his side on June 19, 2021 at Trustbridge Hospice at 81 years old.
He was born on May 29, 1940 in Bartow ,Florida and graduated from Lincoln University with a B.S. in Mathematics. He later obtained a Master's degree in Mathematics from Western Michigan University before relocating to West Palm Beach and working in the Research and Evaluation department for the school board. After retiring in 2002, he served as Chief of Staff for the historic Tabernacle Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Ernestine Jones; his children, Cheryl Wilson (Steven) and Brent Jones (Monique); grandsons, Cole Jones and Troy Jones; brother, Theodore Jones; and a host of in-laws, nieces, and nephews.
