Edgar L. Miller 88 of West Palm Beach, FL passed away peacefully Tuesday, November 23, 2010. Edgar was known to many as “Uncle Dutch”, “Doc” and “Pappi”. Edgar was born in Latrobe, PA to Daniel and Bertha Miller. He served as a paratrooper in the 101st Airborne during WWII in the US Army. He continued in public service as a Pennsylvania State Policeman, then worked for G.E. in Erie, PA. In 1959 Edgar moved to Florida and worked for Pratt & Whitney and retired after 25 years. He belonged to the Moose Lodge 1461 and American Legion Post 141. He is preceded in death by his parents, a sister and 4 brothers. Edgar is survived by his loving wife of 15 years Emily Miller; daughters Donna (Ronald) Guenther and Linda Padgett; grandchildren Lance (Donna) Root and Stephanie Tejeda; seven great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Edgar will be greatly missed by his family and many friends. Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 1, 2010 from 1 to 2pm in the funeral home. Graveside Services with Military Honors will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park, West Palm Beach.
