

Florence Kochman (nee Appel), 102 years young, passed away on Wednesday, August 29, 2012. She was born on February 12, 1910 in Williamsburg, New York. She was the oldest of three children, predeceased by sister Esther (Appel) Garberg and brother Sidney Appel. She retired from the Military Sea Transportation division of the U.S. Navy in Brooklyn, New York in 1972, she moved to West Palm Beach, Florida living there almost forty-years and finally a resident of Boca Raton, Florida since 2010. She was married to the late Murray Kochman (1989) of 58 wonderful years, she was a inspiration to her family and left a legacy of being strong but compassionate, sensible yet sensitive. Her sense of family was most important to her. She led her life by being the example, not following the example. She was a great listener and not shy about giving her opinion. Surviving are her 2 children, Adrienne (Kochman) Gottlieb and her husband, Jerry of Manalapan, New Jersey and Barry Kochman of Boca Raton, Florida. A loving mother, wonderful grandmother to five and a great grandmother to eleven.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, September 2, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at I.J. Morris Funeral Directors, 5411 Okeechobee Blvd, West Palm Beach, FL (561) 683-8676.
