

a beloved member of the West Palm Beach community, transitioned on August 3, 2025, at the age of 81. She dedicated her life to service, mentorship, and the betterment of countless individuals and families. Her legacy is one of compassion, faith, service, and perseverance.
Gloria began her career with the City of West Palm Beach at the young age of 18 and went on to serve for nearly five decades, primarily within the Parks & Recreation Department as an Executive Campus Director. In recognition of her outstanding contributions, the City honored her in 2011 by naming the Gloria Y. Williams Multicultural and Youth Empowerment Center, Pleasant City Community Center in her name.
She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Charlie Mae Williams; mother, Carrie Lou Williams; aunt, Ollie Williams; first cousin, Rene Miller; her loving brother, Willie O. Williams Sr., Husband of Corine E. Williams -- and her best friends, Margaret Roberts and Charlye Clayton.
She will be remembered by her loving nephew, Mr. Willie O. Williams Jr.; her devoted godsons, Mr. Kevin Martin and Mr. Gregory Newborn; as well as many other loving godchildren. She also shared deep bonds with longtime family friends including Ms. Claire Faye Howzell, Ms. Juanita Lowery, Ms. Hermese Harrell, Ma Felton, Mr. Cecil Raiford, Mr. Eddie James Canady, Mr. Sam Crenshaw, Ms. Diane Patrick, Ms. Annette Brown, and many, many others. Ms. Williams also loved and was helped tremendously by Mr. Paul Chamberlain and his son, Mr. Daniel Chamberlain, whose care and support brought her great comfort.Gloria will be remembered for her unwavering faith, her generosity of spirit, and her ability to uplift those around her. Her presence will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday August 27, 2025, at Royal Palm Funeral Home at 11:30AM.
