Age 82, of Pembroke Pines, FL, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on February 5th at 3:30 p.m. Her daughters Kim and Sharon were by her side when she took her last breath. She was comforted by her wonderful family and friends throughout her illness. Born Joyce Longdon on December 13, 1932 in Hartford, CT, she was the daughter of Thomas H. and Gertrude (Thorne) Longdon. She graduated from Wethersfield High School and went to secretarial school thereafter. Joyce met Henry “Hank”, her future husband, during high school. A few years later, they entered into marriage that lasted 50 years. She is survived by three children, Scott Butler, Kim Morrison and Sharon Lawson. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, sister, husband and oldest son, Mark Butler. A graveside funeral service will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Park at 6411 Parker Avenue W.P.B., FL. 33425 at 11:00 am on Saturday February 14. A reception will be held following the graveside service at the Morrison’s home in Tamarac, Fl.
