Lois C. Howard

88 years old, longtime resident of West Palm Beach, passed away peacefully Friday, May 23, 2014. Lois was preceded in death by her husband, Sanford “Van” V. Howard, Sr. She is survived by her son, Sanford “Buzz” V. Howard, Jr. (wife, Janet); her daughter, Jane H. Chesser (husband, David); her grandchildren, Kevin Howard, Kurt Howard (wife, Eleni), Karen Howard and Suzanne Chesser Carlock (husband, Matthew); and her great granddaughter, Addison Carlock.

Lois was born August 11, 1925 in Downingtown, Pennsylvania. After completing nursing school, Lois moved to West Palm Beach where she met and married her husband of 46 years, Van. She worked as a nurse at the Davidson Clinic for 26 years before retiring in 1991. Lois was a loving wife, mother, grandmother (Mimi), and great grandmother and will be dearly missed and remembered fondly.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, May 29, 2014 at QUATTLEBAUM FUNERAL, CREMATION & EVENT CENTER, 6411 Parker Avenue, West Palm Beach, with Rev. Kent Crow, Pastor of the United Methodist Church of the Palm Beaches, officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park, West Palm Beach. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the service on Thursday. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the United Methodist Church of the Palm Beaches Building Fund, 900 Brandywine Road, West Palm Beach, FL, 33409.
