100 years old, of Sebring, FL, formerly of West Palm Beach and specifically Colonial Road, died Thursday, October 5, 2017 in Sebring, FL. Maurice was a veteran of WWII and the Korean Wars, serving in the U.S. Navy from which he retired after 30 years of faithful service to our country.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara in September of 2007. Maurice is survived by his son, Maurice D. Beckner, Jr, and his daughter, Nadean Smith, both of Maryland, and four grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and one great, great grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, October 9, 2017 at the QUATTLEBAUM FUNERAL, CREMATION & EVENT CENTER at HILLCREST, 6411 Parker Ave, West Palm Beach, FL 33405. Committal Services with Military Honors will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park, West Palm Beach.
