February 8, 1965 – June 26, 2025
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our father/grandfather Merle Terrence Wilkinson, lovingly known as Terry, on June 26, 2025.
Born in Waukegan, Illinois, Terry spent most of his life in Palm Beach County, Florida, where he made his mark as a hardworking, fun-loving, and stubborn man who lived life on his own terms. He would physically give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. Whether he was out on a boat, casting a line to fish, sharing laughs over a cold beer, or shouting his signature phrase — “Corn hole ya!” — Terry knew how to bring life to the party. A lifelong Miami Dolphins fan, Terry proudly cheered on his team every season — win or lose — with the same passion and loyalty he showed in every part of his life.
Though he enjoyed his share of fun and mischief, what mattered most to Terry was his family. He never missed a chance to proudly tell anyone who would listen how much he loved his daughters, Elizabeth and Amanda, and his grandchildren, Xavier, Nathanael, and Cynthia. His pride in them was endless, and his love unconditional. Terry’s humor, strong spirit, and big heart will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
The family will be holding a Celebration of Life to honor Terry’s memory — details to follow.
“We’ll miss your jokes, your stories, your stubbornness — and hearing you yell at the Dolphins game — but mostly, we will miss you…forever.”
