Born on January 26, 1958 in Pensacola, Florida, Mike was the eldest son of the late William Piper and Elizabeth “Bizzy” Piper. He is survived by his mother, five sisters—Kathy Piper Bonds, Julie (Thomas) Carpenter, Krissy (Austin) Drinkall, Jennifer (Jayme) Lartigue, & Suzanne (Patrick) Cooley—and one brother, Steven Piper. Mike is an uncle to seventeen nieces and nephews. Mike was a lifelong and faithful Roman Catholic and a servant of Christ’s Church. He attended St. Juliana’s Catholic Church in West Palm Beach, Florida, where he was a devoted and helpful friend to all he met.
There will be a Memorial Mass held on Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at 10:00 AM at St. Juliana’s and a Funeral Mass to be held on May 1, 2015 at the Annunciation of the Lord Catholic Church in Decatur, Alabama, at 12:30 PM, with family and friends to be received prior to the Mass. An internment will follow immediately. Mike will be missed.
