Nova Jean Ballard

Nova Jean was born in Alma, GA. She has been living in Newport TN for the last 15 months. Before that she lived in Newland NC, where she and Leonard had built a summer home in the 70’s, where they spent many wonderful years in the Blue Ridge Mountains .

Nova worked as a dental assistant in Palatka and Ormond Beach until she and Leonard retired and moved to Newland NC, full time. Later they moved to Royal Palm Beach until Leonard’s death after which she returned to Newland.

She is survived by her daughters, Terri Simmons and Tina Ballard; grandchildren, Jason Simmons and Delana Davis (Dustin Wilson); great grand-daughter, Ahri Wilson; siblings, Olene Lockwood, Fred VonEche (Caroline); as well as many nieces and nephews of the Jacksonville, FL area .

She was preceded in death by her parents, Josephine Martin VonEche and George Williams; husband,Leonard Ballard; siblings, Geraldine Shelton, Ollie Jean Jordan, John E Williams, Sr. and granddaughter, Juli Simmons.

At the request of Nova no memorial service or funeral is planned.
