

Pia Fernandez was born on July 11, 1915 in Havana, Cuba to the late Mr. Ildefonso Fuente and the late Mrs. Eustacia Mesa Fuente. During the Great Flotillas of the 1980's Pia made her journey to the United States of America to begin a new life for her family. She was a devout Catholic and loved her "Lord and Saviour" Jesus Christ with all her might. She will be remembered as a great cook, loving and kind wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Pia was met on December 25th, 2012 by her late husband, Ricardo and taken by the hand and led to the gates of Heaven. She will be forever sorrowfully missed and loved until the family is reunited in Heaven! She leaves behind to mourn her passing two sons, Ricardo Fernandez and his wife, Maria of West Palm Beach, FL and Eduardo Fernanadez, Sr. and his wife, Gilda of West Palm Beach, FL; five grandchildren, Diana Fernandez and her husband, Angel of West Palm Beach, FL, Eduardo, Jr. and his wife, Barbara of West Palm Beach, FL, Neredit Fernandez and her husband, Jandell of West Palm Beach, FL, Ileana Fernandez of West Palm Beach, FL and Humberto Fernandez and his wife, Lesile of West Palm Beach, FL; and ten great grandchildren. Family and friends will gather and pay respects on Thursday, December 27, 2012 from 4:00 PM - 11:00 PM at Mizell-Faville-Zern Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 6411 Parker Avenue, West Palm Beach, FL 33405, (561) 833-4061. A Celebration of Life Service for Pia Fernandez will take place on Friday, December 28, 2012 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Mizell-Faville-Zern Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 6411 Parker Avenue, West Palm Beach, FL 33405 with Father Quesnel Delvard from St. Juliana Catholic Church officiating.
