Raymond W. Marx, age 87, died on Sunday, June 25, after a long and courageous battle with multiple myeloma. He was predeceased by his wife, Barbara Marx who died just 6 months ago, after a happy marriage of 65 years. Born in West New York, New Jersey on January 31, 1930, he was an Army veteran and served during the Korean War. Ray was a longtime resident of West Palm Beach, having lived in the Flamingo Park area for over 59 years in the house that he built. He worked in the construction business, starting as a carpenter, then superintendent, and finally a project manager for several companies. He was a kind and loving man who will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his daughter, Jane Marx Jenkins, son-in-law, Paul Jenkins, grandson Cody, his sister, Ruth, and many other family members. A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, June 29th, at Hillcrest Memorial Park, West Palm Beach, with a reception to follow immediately after at QUATTLEBAUM FUNERAL, CREMATION & EVENT CENTER, 6411 Parker Ave., West Palm Beach, FL 33405.
