Damaris Ingram - I love my grandpa even though he is dead now I miss him so much. 

My uncle Lee has always been a part of major events in my life. When I graduated from high school, he drove from Washington to my graduation. Four years later he again drove from Washington, DC for my college graduation and took me back with him to look for my first job. He had a friend who was a math teacher at an adult education center where I was able to get my first teaching job. From there he was the cater for my wedding and baked my wedding cake. Finally, during the most difficult and challenging times for my family when my son was diagnosed with aplastic anemia he was there. We had to travel from Maryland to Minneapolis, Minnesota for a bone marrow transplant, Uncle Lee moved in and stayed with us for the duration. He loved preaching, teaching. and foreign mission. Whether in person or on the phone, the conversation would end with a mini-Bible class no matter the subject. I will always remember his commitment to family. With loving memories. Rosa and Timothy

Having also recently lost a father after his long illness, it takes the unwavering dedication of patience, love, kindness and more sacrifice and resources than most families imagine… but the two of you are living examples of the Commandment to 
“Honor Thy Mother and Father”. 

Rest in Peace Grandpa.  It was heartbreaking visiting you hours before you died.  You were always vibrant, loved cooking and enjoyed  your evening walks.  I know you are in heaven now looking down at us all.  Dad, be strong...grandpa is in a better place.

First of all my condolences to the Ingram Family. Next I would like to say thanks for  sharing Pastor Lee with us.  He was just a witty wealth of wisdom and very humorous too.  I most of all enjoyed picking him up for church.  You just never knew where the conversation might go, but it definitely  was going to be something that made you think.  I would joke with him and say maybe some of that wisdom would rub off from riding together. He would just laugh.  I will miss those rides.  He was an awesome  man and an inspiration of how to finish strong.

It has truly been an honor to serve God alongside Pastor Lee for so many years. His walk with God has been an inspiration to me and others. I shall miss his sense of humor, his challenging questions and his support. But most of all I shall miss the many, many times he stood with me at the altar and covered me with prayer before I took the pulpit.
My dear friend Lee your walk with God challenges me to finish strong. You have run your race and you have kept the faith now it's time to receive your prize from the Lord you love.

It was truly a great pleasure meeting Pastor Lee. We had the privilege of Pastor Lee ministering to us. It was a honor to have met such wonderful Believer in Christ. We will missed him dearly. We pray for the Ingram Family in this time of loss. May the good Lord wrap His loving arms around the friends, aquaintants and family of our dear beloved Pastor Lee. Rest in Peace my Brother in Christ. We love you and will continually be remembered in our heart.

At such a time as this, we, the members of Hope Christian Church, Beltsville, Maryland extend, our heartfelt condolences to you in the passing of Reverend Lee Ingram, Jr. We join you in thanking the Lord for the years of service to the Body of Christ and commitment to make a difference in the Kingdom of God. Reverend Ingram has entered into eternity being received with great rejoicing.  

With thanksgiving for the assurance that the Word of God gives us, we remember with you that “ to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord” (2 Corinthians 5:8). Moreover, we remain steadfast in our confidence in the Lord Jesus Christ, the hope of glory and our salvation. 

We pray that comfort of the Holy Spirit of God gives you strength and peace as you navigate the days ahead. May heaven smile on you as you continue in the way of Truth and remain in the Lord Jesus Christ, giver of eternal life.

I only knew Lee through my friend, his daughter Le'Angela, and the stories she told about him. He was one of a kind, tough and sometimes stubborn but a loving father. May his long life be a blessing.

Rev. Ingram was the gentle, loving father of my dear friend, Le’Angela Ingram. He was a man of deep faith and great love for Le’Angela, her children, and their children. I wish Le’Angela and family peace and comfort in their memories and her knowledge that she was present for her daddy in a deep, abiding way. May Rev. Ingram’s devotion, legacy, and memory be a source of strength and peace.

Heaven is rejoicing to welcome you.  Oh, the joy, you are now beholding the face of our Lord and Father!  Thank you for the example of living your faith and thereby you have made eternal deposits  in so many lives. 

My memories of you are through the family you planted in the earth.  

Thank you Reverend Ingram.  You have reached the beautiful shores of heaven.  

A life to celebrate. A wonderful gentle and kind soul. One Thanksgiving I had the privilege to stay with Rev. Lee Ingram, Jr and his daughter in Florida, my over-packed suitcases so heavy and knowing he was elderly I had planned to push and take my luggage upstairs ---across the parking lot, 2 floors up and he insisted that he will take it all the way. I remember thinking, no- we can't let this happen. His daughter looked at me and gave me this look -- "let him". My first introduction to him was simple, he prayed, he loved, he cared, he was determined and committed. May all the heavenly blessings be upon you. My best to the entire family.

Rejoice....your black King, father, and leader has left us all an enduring lesson...live  with purpose.

Truth... his life was long, his teachings broad, his love enduring, and his spirit will always be present in you.  

Remember...despite the loss of the physical presence of your father, know that God has assigned him to watch over each of you throughout your lives. 

Obedience...as life lived on, you attended to his needs and ensured his security....well done my friend.

Remembrance....know you each are his testimony of a life well lived.

 So, celebrate, stand tall, and lay your black King to rest!

What an honor to know you and share the name Ingram.  It was such a blessing having an uncle like you!! It is because of you that I can cook enough to feed an army and season food without picking up salt.  Because of you I learned the importance of family gatherings and prayer!! The legacy you and my father left for me at NIH is indescribable. The Ingram name still holds so much power and dignity that I walk around with my head held high because I am a proud  descendant of Roosevelt and Lee Ingram!! May you rest well, your job on earth is done and the angels are rejoicing now that you have entered the gates of heaven ❤
