On Thursday, June 27, Ronald (Ron) Hungerford, died peacefully at the age of 76, surrounded by family and loved ones in his final hours at Good Samaritan Hospital in West Palm Beach, FL.
Ron is survived by his son Ronald William Hungerford (Cristina); stepdaughters Michelle McIntyre (Perry) and Marni Cato; stepson Michael Cato; grandchildren Ashley, Alice, Parker, and Quincy; great grandchildren William and Jackson; and Brother William Earl Hungerford (Brenda). Nieces Anne Stevenson and Karen Stammer.
Ronald was born on May 2, 1943 in Sykesville, MD to Anne Geraldine (Kramer) and William Earl Hungerford, and grew up in the Baltimore area. As a young man, he joined the U.S. Army and was stationed in Ansbach, Germany during the Vietnam War. Following his military service, he moved to West Palm Beach, FL in 1968, where he settled and raised his family and served as a firefighter and Emergency Medical Technician for the City of West Palm Beach Fire Department until his retirement in 1993. He spent his Remaining years restoring Classic Cars, Traveling in his R.V. and enjoying time with his family.
