75 years old, of West Palm Beach, died Saturday, July 16, 2016. Born in Sakol Nakhon, Thailand, “Jito” was the son of Chum Lim and Muoy Oz. He attended the Technical University in Thailand for 2 years. Somjit came to the United States in the late 1960’s. Here he was very influential in the restaurant business having owned and managed several in the area, as well as designing and setting up the kitchens in many local establishments. Jito loved to grow fruits and herbs in his backyard and he was very involved in the Thai community in Florida.
He is survived by his son, Saharat “Dan” Prasongjamroon and his former wife, Suprapron “Sue” Prasongjamroon.
Family and friends will gather to Celebrate his Life on Saturday, July 23, 2016 between the hours of 3:00 to 6:00 PM at the QUATTLEBAUM FUNERAL, CREMATION AND EVENT CENTER at HILLCREST, 6411 Parker Avenue, West Palm Beach, FL 33405
