Allan Ross Moore was born March 28, 1951, in Montreal. His family lived in Toronto and Winnipeg before moving to North Vancouver in 1967. He learned to curl in Winnipeg, and was a competitive curler in BC for many years. He earned his CGA and CFP designations, working for BC Hydro and then with his partner at a financial planning company. He was hired to be a Swiss National Trainer and Coach in 2011, and helped many curlers and teams win national and world titles. He was team coach to Swiss teams that won 3 women's world titles, 1 European Women's title, and 2 mixed doubles world championships. He also love to golf, and was a member at Surrey, UBC and Balfour golf courses. He and his wife Linda spent summers at Queens Bay (Kootenay Lake), golfing and kayaking. They also enjoyed travelling and spent great times on ocean cruises.
