

Eileen Vilma Craigie, born May 30, 1927, passed away peacefully on March 17, 2026, following a long decline with dementia. She received exceptional care from the wonderful staff at Berkley Care Centre in North Vancouver, B.C.
Family connections, nutrition, education, and the pursuit of a peaceful world were central to Eileen’s life, as exemplified by her dedicated volunteer work with the Voice of Women. She had a passion for synchronized swimming and hiking, and was a creative soul who expressed herself through artwork, photography, sewing, dance, and music.
Eileen is lovingly remembered by her children, Aaron Craigie and Beverly Thomson; her sisters, Rene Mandigo, Sandra Yates, and Joan Yates; and her grandchildren, Krista, Tyson, and Danika Schroeter, Lucas Craigie, and Angele, Rachelle, and Karine Eburne. She also leaves behind numerous great and great-great-grandchildren, including her special great-granddaughter, Robin Salish Summer, and cousins Arlene and Rex Davidson.
She was predeceased by her dear husband, Rolf Craigie; her son, Kenneth Eburne (June 2025), and is survived by his wife, Wendy, and son, Zion. She was also predeceased by her sisters, Edna Thomson and Norma LePage, and her cousin, Lance Davidson.
We will miss your gentle presence, Mum. Rest in peace.
