Robbie was born to Fred and Evelyn on October 23, 1928 in New Westminster and grew up in Port Moody with his younger brother Quentin. His love of the outdoors was born at Camp Howdy and flourished at Pennask Lake. He graduated from UBC, spent a year at Stanford University, and returned to a life working in the forestry industry.
Together with his wife Barbara, he was the proud father of Brenda (Jeff), Bob, and Michael (Tami). Their best times together were spent at Woodlands – boating, swimming, barbecues, fishing, regattas, and hikes.
His greatest joy was his grandchildren – Aaron, Kate, Taylor (Craig), Elisse (Andres), Greg (Leanne), Sophie, and Cole. He loved to tell stories – about his life, his fishing exploits, his travels and his friends. We have those memories forever.
Our profound thanks to all the care staff on 2North at Evergreen House. A celebration of his life will be held on May 4, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Hollyburn Funeral Home, 1807 Marine Drive, West Vancouver.
