Mr. Stanislav Fritsch

It is with tremendous sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our loving husband and father on May 27 2017. Born in Prague and moving to Canada at the age of 23, Stan was an energetic 72, living most of his life in West Vancouver with his family.

Stan was, and will always be remembered as a kind, peaceful, generous and pleasant spirited gentleman with an empathetic, happy and welcoming soul. He best befriended all whom he shook hands with and was surrounded by casts who adored him.

Stan spent his professional career in the film business in Vancouver and Toronto and his personal career enjoying time with his canine companion Tessy, committed friends and family, and entertaining, beer and wine-crafting, boating and playing tennis.

Stan is survived by his wife Jana, daughter Teresa and son Ales as well as extended family in Switzerland and the Czech Republic. He will be missed by all who had the chance to meet him.

A Celebration of Life will be held at The Vancouver Rowing Club on June 23rd between 5-8pm with presentations at 6:30pm. Donations in Stan’s memory can be made to the Lions Gate Hospital Foundation.
