Alice Marie Dawson Ashworth

(1939-2016)

Alice Dawson Ashworth, 76, passed away on Friday, August 12, 2016.

She is the mother of Kimerly Kaye, Jeffery Clay, Dorie Gaye, Joel Ray, Mona Faye, and Jimmy Jay. She loved watching her daughters and granddaughters dance and enjoyed watching her sons and grandsons play various sports. She enjoyed planning themed parties for the grandkids.

She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Jimmie Ashworth, daughters, Kimerly Austin of Moss Bluff; Dorie Branch and husband Michael of Lake Charles; Mona Witherwax and husband Don of Westlake; sons, Clay Ashworth and wife Gwen of Moss Bluff; Joel Ashworth and wife Jana of Sulphur and Jimmy Ashworth and wife Karen of Westlake. She leaves behind one brother, Wayne Dawson of Lake Charles, along with 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Alice is preceded in death by her parents, Avener Dawson and Dorothy Daigle, sister, Shirley Doucet and brother, Robert Dawson.

Services will be at 11:00am at Hixson Funeral Home of Westlake on Monday, August 15, 2016. Visitation will be on Sunday, August 14, 2016 from 5:00-9:00pm and will resume on Monday from 9:00am until the time of the service. Rev. Oliver McGuire will be officiating.
